Our Mission

​​​   Bright  Beginnings began in Atlanta, Georgia during March of 1990 and expanded to Panama City, Florida in 2007 to provide residential treatment and support services for adults with chronic mental illness and co-existing or dual disorders of chronic mental illness and addiction. As we have worked with them, we have seen that this population frequently includes veterans, persons court ordered to treatment in lieu of incarceration and homeless or at risk of homeless individuals.  

   Our objective has always been to help empower individuals in order to interrupt the revolving door of institutionalization and homelessness. To provide stable, structured alcohol and other drug free housing, support services and treatment that will help individuals to begin recovery and to function and live enhanced lifestyles that will  promote personal growth and development resulting in greater independence, self sufficiency and a more rewarding quality of life.
